Your access to the Site is in consideration for your agreement to these Terms and Conditions of Use, whether or not you are a registered user. By accessing, browsing, and using the Site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, these Terms and Conditions of Use.

Modification of the Agreement

The Owner maintains the right to modify these Terms and Conditions of Use and may do so by posting notice of such modifications on this page. Any modification is effective immediately upon posting, unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any modification signifies your acceptance of such modification. You should periodically visit this page to review the current Terms and Conditions of Use.

Conduct

You agree to access and use the Site only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the knowledge of and adherence to any and all laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to your use of the Site. By accessing the Site, you agree that you will not:

5. Upload, post, email, or otherwise transmit any materials that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under a contractual relationship;
6. Alter, damage, or delete any content posted on the site;
7. Disrupt the normal flow of communication in any way;
8. Claim a relationship with or represent any business, association, or other organization with which you are not authorized to claim such a relationship or represent;
9. Post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or other forms of solicitation;
10. Post any material that infringes upon or violates the intellectual property rights of another; or
11. Collect or store personal information about others.

Registration

Certain portions of the Site are limited to registered users and/or allow a user to request support or services online by entering personal information. You agree that any information provided to us in these areas will be complete and accurate, that you will not register under the name of, nor attempt to enter the Site under the name of, another person, and that you will not adopt a user name that the Owner, in its sole discretion, deems offensive.

Termination of Use

The Owner may, in its sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to and use of this Site without notice and for any reason, including for violation of these Terms and Conditions of Use or for other conduct which the Owner, in its sole discretion, believes is unlawful or harmful to others. In the event of termination, you will no longer be authorized to access the Site, and the Owner will use any means possible to enforce this termination.

Some links on the Site lead to websites that are not operated by the Owner. The Owner does not control these websites nor do we review or control their content. The Owner provides these links to users for convenience. These links are not an endorsement of products, services, or information, and do not imply an association between the Owner and the operators of the linked website. When you select a link to an outside website, you are subject to the terms and conditions of the owner/sponsors of that outside website.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Owner and all of its employees and agents from any and all liabilities incurred in connection with any claim arising from any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions of Use, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs. You agree to cooperate fully in the defense of any such claim. The Owner reserves the right to assume, at its own expense, the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you. You agree not to settle any matter without the written consent of the Owner.

Disclaimer of Warranty

You expressly understand and agree that your use of the Site, or any material available through this Site, is at your own risk. Neither the Owner nor its employees warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, problem-free, free of omissions, or error-free; nor do they make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from the use of the Site. The content and function of the Site are provided to you "as is," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or use, or currency.

Limitation of Liability

In no event will the Owner or its employees be liable for any incidental, indirect, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Site, including without limitation, loss of revenue or anticipated profits, loss of goodwill, loss of business, loss of data, computer failure or malfunction, or any other damages.

Access Agreement For The IWMIDSP

I agree to the following conditions of use:

1. To use and to make personal copies of any part of the map/data/knowledge only for the purposes of non-commercial research or teaching.
   
   
2. To obtain permission prior to using part or all of the map/data/knowledge for commercial purpose by contacting IWMIDSP in order to obtain an appropriate licence from the rights holders or their permitted licensee if one is available.IWMIDSP cannot however guarantee that such a license will necessarily be granted by the rights holder.
   
   
3. To allow access to the map/data/knowledge, or any material derived from the map/data/knowledge, only to registered users who have received permission from the IWMIDSP to use the map/data/knowledge.
   
   
4. To preserve, at all times, the confidentiality of information pertaining to identifiable individuals and/or households that are recorded in the map/data/knowledge where the information is not in the public domain. In addition, where so requested, to preserve the confidentiality of information about, or supplied by, organizations recorded in the map/data/knowledge. In particular, I undertake not to use or attempt to use the map/data/knowledge to deliberately compromise or otherwise infringe the confidentiality of individuals, households or organizations.
   
   
5. That the personal data submitted to the IWMIDSP is accurate to the best of my knowledge, and that any changes in that personal data, and including my educational and employment status, are made known to the IWMIDSP at the earliest possible opportunity.
   
   
6. To acknowledge, in any publication, whether printed, electronic or broadcast, based wholly or in part on the map/data/knowledge, the original creators, depositors or copyright holders, or the funders of the map/data/knowledge and the IWMI, where appropriate.
   
   
7. To declare, in any publication, whether printed, electronic or broadcast, based wholly or in part on the map/data/knowledge, the original creators, depositors or copyright holders, or the funders of the map/data/knowledge and the IWMI bear no responsibility for the further analysis or interpretation of it.
   
   
8. To notify the IWMIDSP of any errors discovered in the data/map/knowledge.
   
   
9. At the conclusion of my research to present for deposit in the IWMIDSP on a suitable medium and at my own expense any new map/data/knowledge which has been derived from the materials supplied or which have been created by the combination of the data/map/knowledge supplied with other data/map/knowledge. The deposit of the derived data/map/knowledge will include sufficient explanatory documentation or metadata to enable the new data/map/knowledge to be accessible to others.
   
   
10. To accept that the IWMI, the original data/map/knowledge creators, depositors or copyright holders or the funders of the data/map/knowledge or any part of the data/map/knowledge bear no legal responsibility for their accuracy or comprehensiveness, and that the IWMI, the original data/mapknowledge creators, depositors or copyright holders or the funders of the data/map/knowledge supplied accept no liability for indirect, consequential or incidental, damages or losses arising from use of the data/map/knowledge, or from the unavailability of, or break in access to, the service, for whatever reason.
    
    
11. To abide by any further conditions notified to me from time to time by IWMIDSP that may apply to the access to, or use of, specific materials within the data/map/knowledge collection. Notice of further conditions under this paragraph may be given to me by electronic means, for example, by way of a pop-up window. My acceptance of the further conditions shall be required before I gain access to the data/map/knowledge collections in question.
    

I understand that all material supplied by the IWMIDSP is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights, and duplication or sale of all or part of the map/data/knowledge is not permitted, except that material may be duplicated for my own research use or educational purposes in electronic or print form. I understand that I must obtain permission for any other use. Electronic or print copies may not be offered, whether for sale or otherwise to anyone who is not an authorized user without permission of the IWMIDSP.

I understand that breach of the above provisions of this Agreement will lead to immediate termination of my access to all services provided by the IWMIDSP, either permanently or temporarily, at the discretion of the IMWIDSP, and may result in legal action being taken against me.
